“Portuguese fashion isn’t about being obvious. It’s not about being an Individual, it’s about being part of a group.” – so I was told while enjoying lunch on a sun drenched balcony overlooking Lisbon. This explains my failures to spot the fashionables at first glance – save for the occasional money-spenders breezing down Avenida da Liberdade. (An example below.)
Fresh from Berlin, I re-took to the streets of Lisbon with eyes peeled with this new drop of information. To hunt for the subtleties and the inconspicuous. And indeed, they are to be found in THE boots, the oversized scarves, buttons on coats, and even in an oldschool flair of cape-like overcoats. Here’s the discoveries from November, stay tuned for a December report!
